As a new member of the Society I am thrilled to be a part of the Member's Exhibition which is currently running from March 28th until April 10th.
I will have two oil paintings on show: 'Spring' and 'Retiro Park'. 'Spring' was inspired by watching two blackbirds flying to and fro as they went about building their nest in time for the arrival of their eggs. 'Retiro Park' is a large public space in Madrid where I took photos of people enjoying a sunny Sunday. If you haven't been to Madrid you should visit this beautiful city which has a great collection of museums and galleries. One of my favourite artists is Joaquin Sorolla whose house has been transformed into a museum which houses many of his amazing paintings.
